Shower Screens
Melbourne
Custom frameless shower screens designed to suit your bathroom layout, glass choice and hardware finish. We install across Melbourne’s northern and western suburbs.
Shower Screen Options
The best shower screen depends on the size of the opening, door clearance, tile layout and how the bathroom is used day to day.
Why Custom Made Shower Screens Matter
A shower screen might look simple on paper, but bathrooms are rarely perfectly square. Walls can be out of plumb, floors can be out of level and tiled openings can vary by a few millimetres.
Your bathroom isn't standard. Your shower screen shouldn't be either.
A 900 x 900 base sounds simple — until the wall leans slightly, the floor runs out of level, or the tiled opening comes in just a touch narrow.
These details are often invisible to the eye, but they are not invisible once your shower screen is installed.
A custom frameless shower screen is built around your actual bathroom — not the dimensions on a box.
Pre-made screens have their place — but doors leave less room for error.
For a straightforward fixed panel in a forgiving layout, a pre-made screen can usually do the job.
But the moment a door is involved, the margin for error becomes much smaller. Proper clearances, even gaps and a practical door swing all need to be measured properly.
Pre-made Shower Screens
- Built to standard sizes, not your space
- Usually capped at 2000mm or 2100mm height
- Limited glass and hardware options
- May need wall channels to hide uneven surfaces
- Can leave uneven gaps where walls are out of plumb
- Best suited to simple fixed panels
Custom Made Shower Screens
- Measured once your bathroom is finished
- Height chosen to suit your ceiling and layout
- Wider choice of glass, hardware and finishes
- Fitted cleanly to your actual walls and floor
- Designed for consistent, precise gaps
- Better for doors, angles and complex layouts
Every screen we make starts with your bathroom, not a catalogue.
We use custom-cut glass and premium hardware on every job - no off-the-shelf panels, no guesswork and no awkward workarounds. Wall alignment, floor level, tile layout, hinge position and door swing all matter, which is why every screen needs to be measured properly from the start.

FAQs
These are some of the most common questions customers ask before choosing a custom shower screen for their bathroom renovation.
How much does a frameless shower screen cost in Melbourne?
The cost of a frameless shower screen in Melbourne can vary depending on the height, size, layout and hardware selection, but as a general guide:
- Fixed panel / walk-in shower screens typically range from $800 to $1,400
- Fully enclosed shower screens with door and return panels usually range from $1,700 to $2,500+
Sliding shower screens and more complex configurations may fall within or above this range depending on the design and finishes used.
Factors that influence the final price include:
- overall size of the shower
- configuration — walk-in, hinged, sliding
- type of glass — standard clear, low iron or fluted / reeded glass
- hardware finish
Because every bathroom is different, we provide custom quotes based on your exact layout and measurements.
How long does it take to manufacture a frameless shower screen?
After final measurements are completed, manufacturing and installation is typically finished within 6–10 working days. If you’re working to a tight timeline, let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly and attend as soon as the bathroom is ready to be measured.
Do frameless shower screens leak?
When installed correctly, with proper seals and adequate floor falls in the shower base, frameless shower screens are designed to keep water contained within the shower area.
We measure and manufacture our shower screens with minimal clearances to reduce the chance of water escaping. Doors are fitted with PVC seals, and in most cases we also install a small water bar to help direct water back into the shower.
While frameless shower screens are very effective at containing water, they cannot be completely watertight due to the small clearances required for the door to operate properly.
What is the standard height for a frameless shower screen?
Most frameless shower screens are made around 2000mm to 2100mm high, depending on the bathroom layout, ceiling height, shower head position and overall design.
Because our shower screens are custom made, the height can often be adjusted to suit the bathroom rather than being limited to a standard pre-made size. For some layouts, a full-height shower screen may also be considered.
Do frameless shower screens require maintenance?
Frameless shower screens require very little maintenance. Regular cleaning of the glass and occasional wiping of the seals and hardware is usually enough to keep the screen looking good and operating properly.
If adjustments are needed during the warranty period, we can come out and fix them. Seals and silicone are not covered by warranty.
What thickness glass is used in frameless shower screens?
We use 10mm toughened safety glass for our frameless shower screens. This provides the strength and stability needed for a clean frameless finish while meeting Australian safety requirements.
Are frameless shower screens easy to clean?
Yes. Frameless shower screens are generally easier to clean than framed screens because there are fewer edges and less aluminium for soap scum and grime to build up around.
Regular cleaning helps keep the glass looking clear and well maintained. A Nano coating can also be added as an optional upgrade to make everyday cleaning easier.
At what stage of the bathroom renovation should a frameless shower screen be measured and installed?
Final measurements should be taken after wall tiles are completed. This ensures the glass is manufactured to the finished opening and fits properly with the correct clearances.
What type of shower screen is best for small bathrooms?
For smaller bathrooms, sliding shower screens and corner entry shower screens are usually practical options.
Sliding doors don’t require swing space, making them ideal for tighter layouts. As a general guide, a sliding shower screen typically requires a minimum opening width of around 1200mm. If the space is smaller, a 3-panel semi-frameless slider can be used as an alternative.
Corner entry sliding shower screens are another great option for corner showers, helping maximise usable space while still keeping the area enclosed.
The best option ultimately depends on your layout, so it’s important to consider the shower screen design early when planning your bathroom.
If you’re unsure what will work best, we’re always happy to guide you through the options.
Can you match my tapware and bathroom fittings?
Generally — yes. We offer a wide range of hardware finishes designed to match popular tapware brands.
Our finishes are selected to closely align with brands such as Meir, Nero and ABI Interiors, making it easier to achieve a consistent look across your bathroom.
Common finishes include chrome, matt black, brushed brass and brushed nickel, along with many other options.
In most cases, we can achieve a very close match to your existing fittings.
