Ascot Vale Bathroom Renovations

Frameless shower screens made to suit Ascot Vale homes

Ascot Vale bathrooms can range from older period homes and renovated family bathrooms through to compact ensuites, apartments, townhouse bathrooms and modern shower screen replacement projects. Because each finished opening can sit slightly differently, a custom measured shower screen is usually the best way to get a clean, practical result.

We install frameless shower screens in Ascot Vale for homeowners, renovators and builders who want a bathroom that feels open, simple to use and easy to maintain.

During the measure, we check floor fall, wall alignment, fixing points, door clearance, tile layout and nearby fixtures so the shower screen suits the actual bathroom, not just the plan.

Shower Screen Installation Process

From final measure to installation

Most frameless shower screens in Ascot Vale are measured once the bathroom is tiled. That allows the glass to be made to the actual finished opening, instead of relying only on plans or rough measurements.

01

Bathroom is ready for measure

Final measurements are normally taken after wall tiles, floor tiles, hob tiles and niches are finished.

02

Layout is checked on site

We check tile fall, wall alignment, fixing points, door swing, nearby towel rails and any tight access points.

03

Glass and hardware are confirmed

The glass type, panel layout and hardware finish are confirmed before the shower screen is ordered.

04

Installation is completed

The screen is installed, aligned, sealed where required and checked so the door or panels sit correctly.

Optional Upgrade

Spend less time cleaning your shower screen

Prior to installation, we can apply a protective Nano coating to the shower screen glass. It is a worthwhile upgrade for anyone who wants to keep maintenance simple.

The coating helps water, soap residue and mineral deposits bond less readily to the glass surface. Most clients find a quick wipe after showering is enough to keep the glass looking clear day to day.

  • Helps reduce water marks, soap build-up and mineral staining
  • Makes the glass easier to wipe down after use
  • Helps the glass stay clearer for longer between deep cleans
  • Best applied when the shower screen glass is new

Why Famous Frameless

What makes the difference on install day

Measured to the finished bathroom

We measure after tiling is complete, checking wall alignment, floor fall, fixing points, door clearance and nearby fixtures before anything is manufactured. The glass is made for the actual opening, not an approximation of it.

Designed around how the bathroom works

A shower screen that looks right on paper can still cause problems in daily use. We design layouts around door swing, shower head position, tapware and how the space is actually used, so the result functions as well as it looks.

Minimal hardware, tidy finish

Frameless glass should feel like part of the bathroom, not something bolted onto it. We keep hardware minimal, silicone lines clean and glass layouts considered, so the screen suits the room rather than dominating it.

FAQs

These are some of the most common questions customers ask before choosing a custom shower screen for their bathroom renovation.

How long does it take to manufacture a frameless shower screen?

After final measurements are completed, manufacturing and installation is typically finished within 6 to 10 working days. If you are working to a tight timeline, let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly and attend as soon as the bathroom is ready to be measured.

What is the standard height for a frameless shower screen?

Many frameless shower screens are made around 2000mm to 2100mm high, but the final height depends on the bathroom layout, ceiling height, shower head position, tile layout and the style of screen being installed.

Because our screens are custom made, the height can often be adjusted to better suit the bathroom rather than being limited to a standard pre-made size.

Do frameless shower screens require maintenance?

Frameless shower screens require very little maintenance. Regular cleaning of the glass and occasional wiping of the seals and hardware is usually enough to keep the screen looking good and operating properly.

If adjustments are needed during the warranty period, we can come out and fix them. Seals and silicone are not covered by warranty.

What thickness glass is used in frameless shower screens?

We use 10mm toughened safety glass for our frameless shower screens. This provides the strength and stability needed for a clean frameless finish while meeting Australian safety requirements.

At what stage of the bathroom renovation should a frameless shower screen be measured and installed?

Final measurements should be taken after wall tiles and floor tiles are completed. This ensures the glass is manufactured to the finished opening and fits properly with the correct clearances.

You can still contact us earlier with plans, photos or rough measurements so we can help guide the layout before the bathroom is ready for final measure.

What type of shower screen is best for small bathrooms?

For smaller bathrooms, sliding shower screens and corner entry shower screens are often practical options because they do not need the same door swing space as a hinged door.

A sliding shower screen usually needs a minimum opening width of around 1200mm. If the space is smaller, a 3-panel semi-frameless slider may be used as an alternative.

The best option ultimately depends on your layout, so it is important to consider the shower screen design early when planning your bathroom.

Can you match my tapware and bathroom fittings?

Generally, yes. We offer a wide range of hardware finishes designed to match popular tapware brands.

Our finishes are selected to closely align with brands such as Meir, Nero and ABI Interiors, making it easier to achieve a consistent look across your bathroom.

Common finishes include chrome, matt black, brushed brass and brushed nickel, along with many other options. In most cases, we can achieve a very close match to your existing fittings.

Do you install frameless shower screens in Ascot Vale?

Yes. We install custom frameless shower screens in Ascot Vale and nearby suburbs including Essendon, Moonee Ponds, Maribyrnong, Parkville, Brunswick West, North Melbourne and surrounding inner north-west Melbourne suburbs.

Still not sure what will work in your bathroom?

Send through a few photos, rough measurements or plans and we can help recommend a practical shower screen layout before the glass is ordered.
