Before And After

Large Format Grey Mirror Feature Wall

This feature wall was finished with large format tiles and custom grey mirror panels. The tiling was completed by others, then we measured and installed the mirrors around the finished tile layout so the mirror sections lined up cleanly with the wall detail.

Before And After

Bronze Mirror Fireplace Feature

This fireplace feature was finished with bronze mirror to add warmth, reflection and a more premium look around the surround. Custom mirror work like this needs careful measuring around the fireplace opening, planning for the overlapping sections and allowance for uneven wall lines.

Mirror Replacement

Cracked Mirror Splashback Replacement In Lower Templestowe

The original mirror was measured full height from the benchtop to the bulkhead, with cut outs around the taps. Over time, pressure around the cut outs and the fixed mirror panel caused the glass to crack.

The replacement solution

To avoid the same issue happening again, we changed the layout. Instead of running mirror all the way down to the benchtop with tap cut outs, we installed a 300mm painted black toughened glass splashback at the bottom, then sat the mirror above it.

Why it works better

The toughened glass handles the wet splashback zone and tap area more safely, while the mirror still keeps the room bright and reflective above. It also removes the pressure points around the tap cut outs that contributed to the original mirror cracking.

Mirror Finishes

Clear, Grey, Smoked And Bronze Mirror Options

Custom mirror installations can be made from different mirror finishes depending on the room, style and amount of reflection you want. Clear mirror gives the brightest result, while grey, smoked and bronze mirror can create a softer feature finish.

For feature walls, bedrooms, bars, kitchens and entertainment areas, darker mirror finishes can add depth without making the space feel too bright or clinical. For gyms, studios and walk in robes, clear mirror is often the most practical option.

Clear Mirror

Bright, practical and reflective. Often used for gyms, studios, robes, bathrooms and general mirror walls.

Grey Or Smoked Mirror

A softer designer finish for feature walls, bedrooms, kitchens, bars and entertainment areas.

Bronze Mirror

A warmer mirror finish that works well with fireplaces, bars, timber cabinetry and darker interiors.

Measure And Installation

How Custom Mirror Installations Work

Custom mirrors need accurate measuring, proper planning around finished surfaces and careful handling on site. This is especially important for large mirror walls, gym mirrors, recessed mirror panels, bar mirrors and mirrors fitted around cabinetry, tiles or wall panelling.

01

Send Photos And Details

Send through photos of the wall or room, rough measurements, your suburb and any finish preference, such as clear mirror, grey mirror, smoked mirror, bronze mirror or framed mirror.

02

We Assess The Details And Quote

We assess the wall size, access, joins, power points, cabinetry, tiles, bulkheads, shelves, tapware and surrounding finishes, then provide a quote based on the mirror layout and installation details.

03

Site Measure

Once the job is ready, we take final measurements on site. This helps the mirrors fit the finished space properly, especially where walls are uneven or the mirror needs to sit around detailed features.

04

Supply And Install

The mirrors are made to size, delivered and installed with care. For large panels, gym walls and feature mirrors, access and safe handling are planned before installation day.

Custom Mirror FAQ

Frequently
Asked
Questions

Common questions about custom mirror walls, gym mirrors, feature mirrors, mirror replacement, measuring, access and installation.

What types of custom mirrors do you install?

We install custom mirrors for feature walls, bedrooms, dining rooms, walk in robes, home gyms, commercial gyms, dance studios, bars, kitchens, entertainment areas and renovation projects.

The mirror can be clear, grey, smoked, bronze or framed, depending on the look you want and how the room will be used.

Can you install a full wall of mirrors?

Yes. We install full mirror walls for homes, gyms, studios and commercial spaces. A full wall usually needs to be split into sections so the mirrors can be manufactured, delivered and installed safely.

Join locations are planned around the wall size, access, handling, power points, switches, shelves, cabinetry and how the mirror will look once installed.

Can mirrors be fitted around wall panelling, tiles or cabinetry?

Yes. Custom mirrors can be measured around wall panelling, large format tiles, cabinetry, shelves, bulkheads, fireplaces and other finished details.

These jobs need accurate measuring because walls are often uneven and the mirror needs to sit neatly against finished surfaces. For more detailed work, we check the overlaps, clearances and visible edges before ordering the mirror.

Can you replace a cracked or damaged mirror?

Yes. We can replace cracked, damaged or ageing mirrors where the existing glass has failed or needs to be updated.

Replacement work can be more involved than a new installation because the old mirror may need to be removed carefully, especially if it is glued to the wall or installed close to tiles, cabinetry, benchtops or other finished surfaces.

What do you need to quote a custom mirror installation?

To quote a custom mirror installation, send through photos of the wall or room, rough measurements, your suburb and any finish preference.

Helpful details include the wall height and width, whether there are power points or switches, whether the mirror needs to sit around cabinetry or tiles, and whether access is tight, upstairs or in a commercial space.

When should a custom mirror be measured?

Final measurements should be taken once the surrounding finishes are ready. This includes completed tiling, wall panelling, cabinetry, benchtops, bulkheads, shelving or any other detail the mirror needs to fit around.

Measuring too early can cause problems if wall finishes, floor levels, cabinetry or opening sizes change before installation.

Do large mirror panels need to be split into sections?

Often, yes. Very large mirror walls may need multiple panels because of glass size limits, access, weight, handling and safe installation.

We try to keep joins clean and practical, and we plan them around the wall layout so they look intentional rather than awkward.

Do you install mirrors across Melbourne?

Yes. We install custom mirrors across Melbourne west, north and inner Melbourne suburbs.

If you are unsure whether we service your suburb, send through your location with photos and rough measurements and we can let you know before quoting.

Have a custom mirror project in mind?
