Diamond & 135° Shower Screens Melbourne

Diamond & 135° Shower Screens Melbourne

A stylish solution for compact bathroom layouts.

What Are Diamond Shape Screens?

Diamond-shaped shower screens — also known as 135-degree or quadrant shower screens — are designed for bathrooms where the shower sits in a corner and space is limited.

By angling the front glass panel, these shower screens maximise internal space while keeping the overall footprint compact. They’re a practical and popular solution for ensuites, small bathrooms and layouts where a standard square screen won’t fit comfortably.

All of our diamond shower screens are custom made to suit your exact measurements, ensuring a clean fit and smooth operation.

Is a Diamond Shape shower screen right for your bathroom?

This type of shower screen is best suited when:

  • The shower sits in a corner
  • Space is tight and a standard door would feel restrictive
  • You want a more open entry into the shower

With this layout, it’s important to plan it early. The shower base needs to be set out to suit the angled design, so it’s something that should be considered during the initial bathroom planning stage.

Custom sizing to suit your space

Every shower screen is made to order based on your finished tile measurements.

Typical installations include:

  • Door width: 600–700mm
  • Standard height: 2000–2100mm

If the front section of the shower is wider than 700mm, we generally keep the door within the 600–700mm range and add an additional infill panel to make up the remaining width. This keeps the door comfortable to use, maintains a balanced layout, and ensures the weight remains within the limits of the hinges.

All dimensions can be customised to suit your space, including aligning with tile lines, windows or ceiling heights.

Installation of Quadrant Shower Screens

Because diamond (135°) shower screens are built on angled glass, getting the measurements right is key.

We always take final measurements after tiling is completed, so everything is made to suit the exact angles and fits properly within the space.

Done right, the screen sits clean in the corner, operates smoothly and makes the most of the available room.

Frequently asked questions about Diamond Shape / Quadrant Shower screens

Here are some of the most common questions people ask about floor to ceiling shower screens.

What’s the difference between diamond, quadrant and 135° shower screens?

They all refer to the same style of shower screen.
“Diamond” and “135°” are more commonly used locally, while “quadrant” is another term for angled corner shower screens.

Can a 135° shower screen be installed in an existing bathroom?

It depends on the existing layout.
If the shower base wasn’t designed for a 135 degree angled screen, modifications may be required.

What size can a diamond shower screen be?

In smaller bathrooms, we usually recommend allowing at least 900mm off each wall to make the shower feel more usable. That typically gives you around 400mm glass panels and a door about 600mm wide, which works well for access without taking up too much room.

Do diamond (135°) shower screens leak?

They can let a bit more water out compared to a standard corner shower, mainly because the shower head ends up closer to the door and isn’t always easy to aim away.

To manage this, we use a different style of water-stop trim to help keep water inside the shower as much as possible.
