Measured after tiling for a cleaner fit
Every shower screen we install in Macedon is custom measured and manufactured to suit the finished bathroom.
This helps achieve a cleaner fit between walls, more consistent gaps, smooth door operation and neater silicone work.
Because bathrooms in Macedon can vary from older homes to new builds and larger renovation projects, accurate final measurements are especially important before the glass is manufactured.
Glass and fittings to suit your Macedon bathroom style
Macedon bathrooms can range from renovated country homes and larger family bathrooms through to modern ensuites, custom builds and full renovation projects. The right glass and hardware combination helps the shower screen feel clean, practical and properly matched to the rest of the bathroom.

Nano glass coating for easier cleaning
For clients who want to reduce ongoing cleaning, we can apply a protective Nano coating to the shower screen glass.
The coating helps water, soap residue and mineral deposits sit less aggressively on the glass surface, making routine cleaning easier.
- Helps reduce water staining
- Makes glass easier to maintain
- Useful for hard-water areas
- Best added when the screen is new

FAQs
Practical answers for Macedon customers planning a bathroom renovation, ensuite upgrade or custom frameless shower screen.
How long does a custom frameless shower screen take?
After the final measure is completed, manufacturing and installation is typically finished within 6 to 10 working days.
If your builder or tiler is working to a tight handover date, send through the details early so we can plan the final measure as soon as the bathroom is ready.
Can you quote before the bathroom is finished?
Yes. You can send through plans, photos, sketches or rough measurements for an initial guide before the tiling is complete.
The final price and glass sizes are confirmed after we measure the finished bathroom, because wall alignment, tile thickness, floor fall and the finished opening all affect the glass.
When should a shower screen be measured?
Final measurements should be taken after the wall tiles and floor tiles are finished. This allows the shower screen to be made to the actual opening, not the rough frame size.
Measuring after tiling helps keep the gaps cleaner, the panels straighter and the door clearances more accurate.
What height should a frameless shower screen be?
Most frameless shower screens are made around 2000mm to 2100mm high, but the best height depends on the ceiling height, shower head position, tile lines and the overall bathroom design.
In larger Macedon bathrooms or more architectural renovations, a full-height shower screen may also be worth considering.
Can you replace an old framed shower screen?
In many cases, yes. An old framed or semi-frameless shower screen can often be replaced with a cleaner custom frameless layout without needing a full bathroom renovation.
We need to check the finished tiles, waterproofing area, fixing points and existing silicone lines before confirming the best replacement option.
What glass thickness do you use?
We use 10mm toughened safety glass for our frameless shower screens. It gives the screen a solid feel while keeping the clean frameless look.
Compared with thinner framed-screen glass, 10mm glass feels more stable and helps reduce flex or rattling.
Is low iron or reeded glass worth considering?
Low iron glass is a good option when you want a brighter, clearer finish with less green tint, especially against white tiles, light stone or softer bathroom finishes.
Reeded or fluted glass can also work well when you want more privacy, texture and a softer look while still letting light through the shower area.
What shower screen style works best for a smaller ensuite?
Smaller ensuites usually need the door swing, vanity position, toilet clearance and shower head position checked before choosing the screen style.
Sliding shower screens and corner entry shower screens can be practical where swing space is limited. A hinged door or fixed panel may still work well where the layout has enough clearance.
Can the hardware match my tapware?
Generally, yes. We offer a wide range of hardware finishes to help match popular bathroom tapware and accessories.
Common options include chrome, matt black, brushed brass, brushed nickel and gunmetal. Exact tones can vary between brands, but we can usually get very close to the fittings selected for the bathroom.
Do frameless shower screens leak?
Frameless shower screens are not designed to be completely watertight, because the glass needs small clearances for the door to open and close properly.
A well measured screen, suitable seals, good floor fall and correct shower head position all help keep water inside the shower area during normal use.
Do you install frameless shower screens in Macedon?
Yes. We install custom frameless shower screens in Macedon and nearby areas including Mount Macedon, Woodend, New Gisborne, Riddells Creek, Romsey, Gisborne and Sunbury.
Still not sure what will work in your Macedon bathroom?
Send through a few photos, rough measurements or renovation plans and we can help recommend a practical shower screen layout before the glass is ordered.
