Yes. Many Keilor Downs enquiries are for replacing older framed or semi frameless shower screens with a cleaner custom glass layout.

The existing screen is removed first, then the finished opening is checked before the new glass is measured and made. Wall condition, old fixing holes, tile edges and the shower base all need to be assessed before confirming the best option.

Final measurements should be taken after the wall tiles and floor tiles are completed. This lets us measure the finished opening properly and check wall alignment, floor fall, tile lines and clearances before the glass is ordered.

You can still contact us earlier with plans, photos or rough measurements so we can help guide the layout before the bathroom is ready for final measure.

After the final measure is completed, manufacturing and installation is typically finished within 6 to 10 working days.

Specialty glass, custom hardware finishes or more detailed layouts can take longer, so it is best to get in touch before the bathroom reaches the final stages.

For compact ensuites, the best option depends on the shower opening, vanity position, toilet clearance and whether there is enough room for a door to swing.

Sliding shower screens and corner entry shower screens can work well where swing space is limited. A hinged frameless door can still be a good option when the opening and surrounding fixtures allow it.

Frameless shower screens help control water, but they are not completely sealed like a framed system. Small clearances are needed so doors can open and close properly.

Good water control comes from the right screen size, correct floor fall, shower head position, neat sealing and suitable door clearances. Where needed, we can also use seals and a small water bar to help direct water back into the shower area.

Low iron glass is worth considering if the bathroom has white tiles, light stone, marble look finishes or premium hardware where a clearer glass appearance matters.

Reeded glass can be a good option where you want more privacy and texture without making the bathroom feel closed in.

We use 10mm toughened safety glass for our frameless shower screens. This gives the screen a solid, stable feel while keeping the clean frameless appearance and meeting Australian safety requirements.

Generally, yes. We offer a wide range of shower screen hardware finishes designed to coordinate with popular tapware and bathroom accessory ranges.

Common options include chrome, matt black, brushed brass, brushed nickel and gunmetal. Exact finishes can vary between brands, but we can usually get very close to the selected fittings.

Frameless shower screens require very little maintenance. Regular glass cleaning and occasional wiping of the seals and hardware is usually enough to keep the screen looking clear and operating properly.

If anything needs adjusting during the warranty period, we can come back out and sort it. Seals and silicone are considered consumable items, so they are not covered under warranty as they wear with normal use over time.
